A View From The Bridge - Expectations & More

From the play ‘A View From The Bridge’ I expect a rather sad story in which Eddie goes through quite a lot of very sad events. I also expect a sad ending in comparison to a happy ending because it is a tragedy. I expect Eddie to be stuck in between two things and having to make a hard decision because of the moral dilemmas we discussed in class. I personally think that it will be related to our Statement of Inquiry, ‘Literature allows us to perceive the power that one person has within a community’ by the dialogue and the actions of the character Eddie. I think he will influence many people in the play and might also change the perspective of a character and maybe also the character himself. I think that it will relate to the Key Concept perspective by maybe giving us two different perspectives on a character or something important that happened in the play which are completely different and give it a different image and feel. The second key concept in this unit is connections, I think this will relate to ‘A View From The Bridge’ by showing us the connections in a community or connections between different events that have a big impact on a character or on a situation.
